About Us

Spreading the Gospel & Serving Others

Fire of God Church has been a beacon of faith and love since 1998, dedicated to spreading the gospel and serving our community. For years, we have taken to the streets of downtown, sharing the message of Jesus and His love with all who will listen. Our commitment to outreach led to the launch of our Grocery Program in 2018, which has since expanded to bless families beyond the downtown area.

We believe in nurturing the next generation through our youth programs and Sunday school, ensuring that children and young people grow in faith and understanding. Each year, we hold special events to bless our community, including a Christmas toy drive, Easter gifts, and back-to-school supply giveaways.

At Fire of God Church, we are more than just a congregation, we are a family. With open hearts and willing hands, we are here to help those in need, both physically and spiritually. No matter where you come from or what you’re going through, you are welcome here.

Statement of Faith

We believe in one God, the Father almighty

Creator of all things:

the heavens, the earth, everything seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,

God’s only begotten Son.

He is fully God and was with the Father before time began.

Everything was made through Him.

For us and for our salvation:

He came down from heaven,

became fully human and was born of the Virgin Mary.

He lived among us,

died on a cross for our sins,

and was buried.

On the third day, He rose again,

just as the Scriptures said He would.

He ascended to heaven,

where He now sits at the right hand of the Father.

One day, He will return in glory to judge everyone,

both the living and the dead,

and His kingdom will never end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit,

who is also God.
He proceeds from the Father and the Son,
and with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified.

He is the giver of life, He speaks through the Scriptures,

and He works in the church.

We believe in one church made up of all God’s people everywhere.

We affirm one baptism for the forgiveness of sins,

and we look forward to the resurrection of the dead

and the life in the world to come. Amen.

The Trinity

We believe that to be saved, we must hold to the true faith.

We worship one God in three persons:

The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God.

But there are not three gods; there is one God.

The Father is not the Son,

the Son is not the Spirit,

and the Spirit is not the Father.

Each is eternal, almighty, and fully God,

but they are not three gods, they are one God.

The Father was not made or created.

The Son was not made, but He is eternally begotten of the Father.

The Holy Spirit was not made, but He proceeds from the Father and the Son.

This is the true faith:

We believe in one God who is three persons,

equal in power, glory, and majesty.

We also believe in Jesus Christ,

God’s Son, who became fully human to save us.

He is both fully God and fully man:

God from His Father,

and man through His mother, the Virgin Mary.

He is one person with two natures, divine and human

and these natures are not mixed, but perfectly united.

He suffered, died, and rose again to save us.

He will come again to judge the living and the dead.

And all who trust in Him will have eternal life.

This is the true Christian faith. Amen.

Jesus Christ

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,

who is both fully God and fully human.

He is God,

the same as the Father in His divine nature,

eternal, unchanging, and all-powerful.

And He is human,

the same as us in every way, except for sin.

Jesus is one person with two natures:

a divine nature and a human nature.

These two natures are not mixed, changed, divided, or separated.

They remain distinct,

but they are perfectly united in one person, Jesus Christ.

He was born of the Virgin Mary for our salvation.

As God, He performed miracles and showed His power.

As a man, He suffered and died for us.

He rose from the dead, ascended into heaven,

and will return in glory to judge the living and the dead.

This is what we believe about Jesus Christ. Amen.
