Here To Serve

At Fire of God Community Outreach Centre, our food program operates through a $30 donation, which helps us continue serving the community while maintaining our building and delivery trucks. Upon making a donation, individuals receive a number and are welcome to stay and wait for their turn to be called. Once their number is called, they can go downstairs and choose their own groceries, selecting the items that best suit their needs. This system allows individuals and families to have control over their food choices while ensuring everyone gets the support they need. Through the generosity of our community, we remain committed to providing food assistance with dignity, care, and the love of Christ.

The Process

Step 1: Register

Once you enter the building you can go upstairs to register. There you will receive a stamp and a number after a donation of $30 has been made. If you are unable there is a free bag option. For the free bag we do require ID and it is limited to one per househodl and only given twice a month

Step 2: Wait

Should you leave before your number is called a staff member will ask you to leave your number behind and when you return you will receive a new number. There are limited exceptions. We call down groups of 5 people do start lining up.

Step 3: Choose

Once you head downstairs you will be welcome by many staff. There will be volunteers at each station letting you know the limit of items per section . If there is something you do not want you are able to refuse.

Food Program Guidelines

Respect, Patience, and Courtesy:

Please be respectful to all volunteers and fellow attendees. Disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated. Our volunteers are working hard to serve everyone, so we ask for your patience and understanding as we work through the process.
Cleanliness:

Kindly dispose of your garbage in the designated bins. Please do not leave any trash behind for our volunteers to clean.
Stay with Your Number:

Once you have received your number, please remain in the designated waiting area. If your number is called and you are not present, a new number will be issued to you. Please do not leave the premises with your number.
Parking:

If you are not volunteering, please do not park in the lot next door. If you are blocked in, we will not be able to assist you until after we are closed for the day. Additionally, please do not block any of our delivery or pick-up trucks, as it will delay our schedule and affect the service we provide.
